This course is for those who have successfully finished the BWYQ L4 Certificate in Teaching Yoga (RQF) but feel they would like to study more pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy and subtle points in asana to complete their training to the Diploma level.

The course will build on their previous teacher training that would have included yoga anatomy, basic breathing, lesson and course planning and the responsibilities of a yoga teacher. Students's progress will be assessed through written assignments, presentations, microteaching of peers, keeping pranayama and meditation diary, observation of personal classes.

Training Introduction

Take the next step in your teaching journey with the British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Progression Course, an inspiring programme designed to deepen your knowledge and enrich your teaching practice.

The course curriculum explores the classical Foundations of modern yoga, with a deep dive into key yoga texts including the Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. You'll learn how to integrate yoga philosophy, pranayama (breath control), along with advanced asana to create meaningful and enriching classes for your students.

Throughout the course we study traditional texts such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita, The Upanishads, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, exploring how their timeless wisdom can be applied to modern teaching. The philosophy of yoga offers some of the most profound and life-enhancing knowledge available.

If you have already completed the British Wheel of Yoga Certificate Course and are ready to advance your yoga career, this approximately 200-hour programme offers a rewarding opportunity to grow, specialise, and inspire others through richer teachings.
