Training Introduction
The AIC is the new pathway to holding the Level 4 BWY Yoga Teacher Diploma. This advanced course is open to 200 Hour trained yoga teachers who do a short integration element March - June 2026. Having completed the Spring integration element, the 200 hour qualified teachers will then join 300 Hour BWY Certificate holders on the Autumn start progression element of the AIC. The progression element of the AIC runs one year from September 2026-2027.
How the Training Works
The Integration element of the AIC is four weekends' study in Spring 2026 with assignments to cover the certificate course content. The study weekends monthly consist of in-person Saturday sessions and Zoom sessions on Sundays, with each study day running for four hours 10.00 am - 2.00 pm. There is some philosophical study on ethics and a professional studies worksheet to do in the integration element, as well as a posture profile and essay on the nervous system. These assignments will be well supported by some anatomy resources we offer from Andrew McGonigle, AKA Doctor Yogi, and working with Charlotte Preston who is our nervous system specialist. Students have a summer workshop together with the progression students with specialist tutor Charlotte Preston summer 2027 to follow up her delivery on the integration element. All students undertake the Doctor Yogi Anatomy course, available through the BWY to be completed as self-paced study by September 2026 (You will continue to have access to the material right through the progression element of the course where it is essential course materials for all students.)
Integration element students will join the BWY certificate teachers for the Progression element of the AIC in September, a year of monthly study weekends with in-person Saturday sessions and Zoom sessions on Sundays, with each study day again running for four hours, times tbc. The progression element philosophy assignments will be explained on Introductory days in Cambridge, when students will also get to meet Sarah O'Connor who is the pranayama specialist on the course.
