Training Introduction
Healthcare advice increasingly recommends Yoga as a therapeutic exercise.
Would you like to:
- Be able to offer a Yoga for BackCare class, welcoming new students?
- Feel more confident when discussing back pain?
- Have a deeper understanding of the causes of back pain?
- Understand which postures can help and which might not?
- Know which students to teach and which to refer onwards?
Join Anji Gopal, Yoga Teacher and Trainer, Osteopath and NHS Clinician, in this 4-day training. Anji has been working with Yoga for BackCare in clinical and studio settings for over 10 years and has developed this BWY accredited module.
The training gives you the tools to run a Yoga for BackCare class. Contents include:
✓ 3 Ready-made class sequences.
✓ Review of anatomy, common conditions, contraindications and red flags.
✓ Pain anatomy and why it matters.

✓ The difference between acute and chronic low back pain.
✓ Using props, postures to assist, modify or avoid.
