Course Aims
This certificate prepares you to teach asana, pranayama, relaxation, meditation, and concentration practices to students of all ages, abilities, and experiences.

You’ll leave the course professionally confident and fully equipped to step into your role as a yoga teacher.

At least 2 years of regular yoga practice
Preferably completion of the BWY Foundation Course (or equivalent)
 

How the Training Works

Course Structure
Training Days: Monthly on Sundays, 9.30 am – 5 pm
Format: Mostly in-person, with some Zoom sessions
Accessibility: Every session has a Zoom option + recordings available
Hours
165 Contact Hours – spread across 22 training days
135 Non-Contact Hours – home study, assignments, and personal practice
Weekly Practice
Students are expected to attend a weekly Yoga class with an experienced teacher (ideally BWY-trained).

 
What You’ll Experience
A balance of practical and theoretical learning
Teaching from day one – starting in small peer groups, then gradually moving into your own classes under tutor guidance
A mix of:

Group work
Theory sessions
Practical workshops
Tutor-led asana, breathing, relaxation & meditation
Connection sessions to help the group bond, later evolving into professional development sessions
Individual tutor support when needed
A safe, inclusive, and supportive environment – reasonable adjustments made wherever possible
 
Course Fees (2025–2027)
Total Cost (22 months, including induction): £2,500

Deposit: £300 (due on placement offer)
Balance: £2,200

Payable as £100 monthly instalments over 22 months
OR in full at the start of the course
First payment due: February 2026
