Training Introduction
The aim of the Certificate course is to equip you both professionally and practically to teach yoga asanas, breathing practices, and relaxation to students with a wide variety of capacity and experience; with an underlying knowledge and understanding of fundamental yoga principles and philosophy.
This is a 300-hour course (including 160 hours of tutor contact time) will comprise of three units taught over a 24-month period:
Unit A: Professional responsibilities of a yoga teacher, basic breathing and relaxation and preparing for asana (posture work)
Unit B: Approaching asana, basic breath control and relaxation
Unit C: Effective planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation

How the Training Works
All courses are a combination of tutor-led contact days and home study and will involve a monthly attendance at the course venue on a Saturday. In addition there will be a voluntary one-hour online Q&A session held each month.
You will be given all the necessary tools to help you start your own class with the skills and confidence to build your own yoga following
As well as completing the course assignments, you will be observed on your teaching practice. You will be fully prepared for this experience and although often students are nervous, please see it as a way of improving your teaching and enhancing the knowledge, understanding and skills you need to be a good teacher.
Student teachers will be fully insured so that you will be able to start teaching whilst the course is running.
