Entry Description
In Yin Yoga we hold the poses for 3-5 minutes creating a meditational practice that is a slow unraveling of thoughts & fascia, a letting go both physically & mentally. The Himalayan Sound bowls & Crystal Bowls are played while you are in the poses to help you stay in the poses. The class includes a Yoga Nidra guided relaxation that works physically & mentally to relax you & take you into a state somewhere between daydream & sleep. Entering this state of neuroplasticity is beneficial for stress relief, creativity & positive habit formations. Sunday 6pm.

Teacher Bio
I began Hatha Yoga in my teens in local village halls with my mum then I discovered Astanga in my 20's after University & I was hooked on the physical side but also the feeling of serenity after practice. Yoga balanced my career as a photographer, with all the lifting heavy equipment & standing up, it kept me strong yet flexible. It helped when I had a family too, to bring calm in the juggle of work & kids & kept my body well too. I finally did my 200 hr teacher training with The Life Centre's teacher training arm Yogacampus, in 2020. The rigorous 16th month course was a perfect length to develop & transform into the sort of teacher I wanted to be. I am extremely lucky to have my own yoga studio, our photography studio in Kingston upon Thames doubles as a yoga studio around work hours. I found study & learning so enjoyable I enrolled at The Shala London for my 500hr hour qualification. I continue to build my teaching skills with new learnings & offerings to share with my students most recently I have trained to become a one to one sound healer. I now teach 11 classes a week: Mindful Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Chair Yoga, Yin with Sound & Yoga Nidra, Sound Baths & offer one to one Yoga sessions & Sound Healings, I also continue my photography work, I love shooting Yoga teachers, brands, studios etc you can see my work at: www.helenmarsdenphotography.comSuitable For:
