Gary CARTER
Description
In our current times, learning practices and tools to maintain a regular daily practice of movement and breath is becoming ever more important to our overall fitness, mental health and longevity. We will explore the dynamics of breath, the fascial relationships of breath to movement and explore a series of practices that promote space and ease not only for breathing but also movement in everyday life.
Gary Carter is at the forefront of fascial research through his dissection studies, and lectures in the UK, Europe and the USA. He has over 40 years of experience in movement, physical training, anatomical study and bodywork practices. He is committed to teach ease of movement and efficient body use. His use of anatomical models and a range of images such as dissection photos, medical diagrams and sketches) enable students to gain better insight into the potential of the human body for health and wellbeing.
Additional Information
This is a masterclass and Gary will invite you to participate at the start to say why you have booked, so he can tailor his teaching to suit the group's needs. He intersperses the practice with theory so you can build up a better understanding of your body, breath and movement. His expertise at explaining the complexities within us in simple (but not simplistic) terms is why the BWY have been booking Gary regularly since he first taught at Congress in 2001.
Although this is not a BWY approved CPD day you can still claim 3 CPD points for attending.
