Description

In this CPD day aimed at all yoga teachers and student teachers we will be learning how we can help students cultivate poise and balance, both on and off the mat by :

·        exploring how using sensory feedback through the nervous system can help the body organize balance.

·        practicing balances – stress, illness and fatigue contribute to physical and mental instability and practicing balance poses with mindfulness can help us destress and so improve our stability and coordination.

·        recognising that our balance is an experience rather than a fixed state of symmetry, which can also be supported in daily life by Patanjalis Yamas and Niyamas, alongside meditation and Breathwork.

The day will leave you with ideas you can implement subtly in your teaching, to support your student’s development alongside your own clarity and skills as a yoga teacher.

As a retired DCT, Andrea is a Certified Advanced Rolfer and currently teaches one in-person and one online yoga class a week. She also runs CPD days and BWY Foundation courses as well as online courses for Yoga teachers on the YogaUK website.
