Description
Props are an important component of our asana practice, they “are guides for self-learning." B K S Iyengar. Any aid for our practice is a wonderful help on our path. This workshop is a modest attempt to show how we can deepen our practice using one simple yet useful prop- the yoga belt/ strap. The aim of this workshop is to ignite your curiosity and imagination by showing how it can be used in a variety of ways, allowing for a new approach to some asana allowing for many hours of joyful experimentation and exploration and hopefully offering increased awareness, support and the possibility of some therapeutic uses for our everyday yoga belt.
The workshop is therefore open to all abilities. Heather will demonstrate practical uses for the belt and how to use the belt for your body, bringing extra support and stability where you didn't know you could. The yoga belt is so versatile and thus an essential tool you will build undiscovered awareness with into your practice.
