NOTICE OF BWY SOUTH EAST ELECTION MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Election Meeting (“EM”) of the BWY SOUTH EAST will be held at 16:00-17:00 on Sunday 12 May on Zoom.

Registration is required in advance for this meeting.

After registering, you will be able to access the joining instructions from clicking on the booking in your dashboard calendar and clicking on the Tab 'Meeting Instructions'.

At the meeting, where nominations for each of the following roles will be communicated, you will be asked to raise any objections for sole nominations to roles, or vote for your preferred nomination where multiple nominations have been received, by a simple show of hands.
 
Regional: Officer, Training Officer, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, Social Media, Area Reps for Kent, Surrey, Sussex, East Sussex.

Nomination process

To nominate yourself for a particular role, you must complete the nomination form which can be found on the BWY website under: My Resources / Regional volunteer resources / Regional role support documents. Any nominations for roles must be received by the Regional Officer at least seven days prior to the AM.

Voting procedure

The meeting will be started by the incumbent Regional Officer or other incumbent Officer who will act as meeting chair.
Each of the above roles will be announced in turn and members present will be asked to either show objections or vote by a show of hands.
If any role has more than one nomination then the RO will give each person 48 hours notice and invite them to speak for up to a maximum of five minutes and the candidates will be announced in turn with a show of hands being counted for each candidate (at the discretion of the Regional Officer).
Results will be by a majority of one or more.
