Description
Moving with the Breath
As strong and grounded yoga poses start to relax and release, the natural tidal movements of our breath can start to re-emerge and guide us in our practice.
Exploring this idea - through anatomical explanation and experiential understanding - this workshop will be posture based, with periods of relaxation, breathing practices and meditation woven in.

Bill has spent over 30 years working in the yoga world - teaching classes, courses, workshops and retreats - and always with a passion for where the physicality of the practice draws us mysteriously into that transformative yet very simple sense of stillness and inner quiet.
While inspired by many different yoga and meditation traditions, his main influence has been the teachings of the late Vanda Scaravelli, and he continues to study with Sandra Sabatini, one of her longest standing students. Before that he also studied for 18 years with Diane Long, trained over many years with Sophie Hoare and John Stirk, and is also qualified as a Yoga Therapist (YBT), as a Sivananda Yoga Teacher, and as a Core Process Psychotherapist.
Away from his mat he also mentors in the world of outdoor education and nature connection, recently completed a training in Parts Work (IFS) and, in his down time, can often be found wandering on Dartmoor with a scruffy lurcher, or paddling a canoe down towards the sea.
