Description
Grounded in the Glow
Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, when the sun is at its highest position in the sky. Since prehistory, this been a significant time in cultures across the world, and has been marked by festivals and rituals. Join us for a day of nurturing practices to deepen our sense of harmony and connection with nature, through yoga and ayurveda.
Attendees are invited to join us live throughout the day, bring your notebooks and questions, and will receive links to the recordings. If you cannot attend live and wish to watch the recordings in your own time, there's a ticket for that too.

In Bloom - A Summer Solstice Sojourn with Nahdeannah Francis-Pennant
A somatic movement and visualisation practice inspired by the Summer Solstice and the Solar Plexus Chakra, inviting you to reconnect with your vitality, confidence, and inner fire. Grounded yet playful, this session explores themes of fire, air, and seasonal transition through gentle, warming movement, embodied flow, and imaginative imagery drawn from the natural world.
Balancing activation and ease, the practice gradually softens into guided relaxation and song, offering space to integrate, restore, and reconnect with a sense of joy, ease, and inner radiance - leaving you feeling nourished, uplifted, and deeply present.
Seasonal Wisdom - Preparing for Summer with Emma Turnbull
A reflective and practical exploration of Yoga and Ayurveda as supportive tools for navigating the transition into summer with greater ease and awareness. Rooted in ancient wisdom and lived experience, Emma offers an accessible introduction to Ayurvedic principles, exploring how heat, rhythm, and lifestyle can influence balance at this time of year.
Through simple daily rituals, mindful movement, breathwork, and nourishment, you’ll be invited to reconnect with natural and lunar cycles, supporting clarity, steadiness, and sustainable vitality. Rather than prescribing a fixed routine, the session emphasises empowerment - learning to listen to your own rhythms, adapt wisely, and create personalised practices that nurture wellbeing, resilience, and balance through seasonal change.
Notes:
Seasonal transition • Ayurveda as lifestyle wisdom • Simple daily practices • Yoga + pranayama for summer balance • Personal agency over prescription • Living in rhythm with nature
Cooling the Fire: Myofascial Release, Acupressure, and Nervous System Regulation with Vicky Arundel
We live in a yang-dominant culture, and the heat and intensity of summer can amplify this - often showing up as burnout, feeling “tired but wired”, restlessness, or mental agitation. This session invites you to explore how working with the fascia can offer a powerful and practical entry point into calming, balancing, and regulating the nervous system, drawing on both Eastern and Western perspectives of health.
Through a blend of theory and experiential practice, you’ll be guided toward a deeper embodied understanding of how fascial work can support physical ease, energetic balance, and nervous system resilience. For the practice portion, participants will be invited to use a pair of myofascial balls (or two tennis balls as an alternative).
Sense the Season: Chair & Wall-Supported Sensory Yoga for Solstice with Richard Kravetz
Celebrate the summer solstice with a gentle, accessible yoga practice, designed for people with visual impairment. This 75-minute class invites you to explore the season through sensation rather than sight, using clear verbal guidance and curious mindful movement as we experience yoga through touch, sound, breath, and inner awareness.
