Description

Effortless Mindfulness – From What Place Are You Being Present? Regulation, receptivity and the art of embodied teaching with Esther Ekhart

In this experiential session for yoga teachers, we explore the foundations of presence — not as something to achieve, but as a natural state that arises when we feel safe, grounded and connected. We begin by understanding the essential role of nervous system regulation in accessing true receptivity, both in ourselves and our students. From there, we explore simple yet profound ‘glimpse’ practices of effortless mindfulness — resting in awareness rather than striving for it.

These direct-experience practices help us shift from efforting and doing, into being and sensing. With this foundation, we then explore how to teach yoga from presence, allowing our classes to emerge not just as techniques but as transmissions. You’ll be invited to move, rest and teach from a space of embodied awareness — offering your students more than instruction: offering them co-regulation, resonance and refuge.

Esther Ekhart

For me, yoga has been about showing up. Showing up for myself, for life and for others. I came to yoga at an early age through my mother and I did my first Yoga Teacher Training at 18 years old.

I have been practicing, teaching and, most importantly, been a STUDENT of yoga for over 20 years. One thing that I have learned and observed over the years is that we/life keeps evolving. Things change constantly and we simply can’t stay as we are. I teach what I learn in my own continuing evolution.

Over the years, I’ve seen that what touches people most in class isn’t the perfect sequencing or cues — it’s presence. When we teach from a regulated, receptive state, something beyond words is transmitted. This session is an invitation to experience and embody that for yourself — and for your students. www.estherekhart.com
