Description
Tensegrity Yoga is a means to explore structural load bearing in the body through the relationship between fascia, bones, muscles and energy. It is systemic and opens up pathways of insight and connection.
The principles within this approach can also support a more embodied and systemic approach to life and this experiential workshop will explore the themes of being a body, being alive and being in relationship.
We will cover basic principles through experiential inquiries, help to develop the felt sense and create situations for Tensegrity to arise. Joy, comfort, stability and effortlessness are features of this work which eventually lead to deep meditation. We will also discuss how you might use language and integrate some of these findings into your teaching.
Kate Ellis works at the intersection of Yoga and Body-psychotherapy. Her approach has developed over 30yrs, teaching on the Triyoga teacher training and the Yoga Campus Yoga Therapy training, before setting up a specialist training in Brighton. As a Body-psychotherapist for 15 years Kate’s passion revolves around the embodied and the relational and she currently offers a deep residential intensive for psychotherapists and yoga teachers: Body, Breath and Energy.
