Description
Qigong is the root practise from which all the Chinese martial arts came forth. It connects us to the flow of energy- Qi (pronounced chee) - in the body/mind and enables the cultivation, strengthening and harmonizing of our energies.
Yoga works with the same vital energy, Prana and as such Qigong forms compliment yoga asana. This day will introduce the basic principles of Qi Gong and there will be practices which offer participants ways to tap into the flow of energy in the body. We will also learn a range of Qigong forms that can be incorporated into a personal practice and/or a yoga class with explanation of their benefits, when/how to use them and why we might include them with yoga.
